About Me

John is a PhD student in Mike Dietze’s lab at Boston University, co-advised by Shannon LaDeau at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies. He is working on the NSF funded Near-term Ecological Forecasting Initiative (NEFI) where his primary research interests are focused on building state-space models to forecast tick-borne disease risk. Currently, John is working on models for Lyme disease, with the future goal to forecast tick-borne disease across the US by leveraging data from the National Ecological Observatory Network.
